MEC Lehari warns public of bogus traffic learnership advertNorth West Community Safety and Transport Management MEC Sello Lehari cautions people against bogus traffic learnership advert. It has come to Department’s attention that there is a fraudulent advert circulating on online and other media platforms purporting to recruit for Traffic Learnership. This false advert is using Department’s information. MEC Lehari appeals to the public to ignore the advert and implores on the public to constantly and consistently verify any information relating to recruitment and learnerships with the Department. “Let me put it on record that the Department has not as yet advertised any Traffic Learnership recruitment. We don’t know the intensions of those who created this bogus advert; however, it looks to be a scam and the scammers may end up extorting money from the innocent public. Please note that when the department advertise learnership recruitment, we do so using our Departmental letterhead with the correct logo, including address and contact details. This one bears a national logo which proves beyond doubt that it is bogus. Please ignore it. Importantly, do not hesitate to report to the nearest police station, anyone who tries to swindle you with this type of scams. Also let's avoid distributing and sharing this misinformation on social media. Don't open the link provided either as you may end up being lured into unsolicited online site,” said Lehari.
